Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] To investigate the topic of new forms of Chinese entrepreneurship in Prato, the focus group technique was used; in this short paragraph the method used will be deepened and the reasons for the choice highlighted. The focus group (fg) is a technique of information gathering that is based on a discussion, only apparently informal, between a group of people (considered suitable to meet the cognitive objectives set) and in the presence of a moderator and an observer . The discussion focuses on a topic that you want to learn about, established by the research group. The results of the fg are texts produced on the basis of verbal and non-verbal interactions between the moderator of the discussion and the group of participants in the fg. The interaction that is established between the members of the group brings the discussion closer to a daily communication; however the debate of a fg only apparently recalls a natural discussion, since the interaction between the participants develops in a place identified by the research group, it is articulated on pre-established cognitive ends and between people chosen according to precise criteria
