Translated title of the contribution: [Autom. eng. transl.] Greek federalism

Research output: Book/ReportBook

[Autom. eng. transl.] Ancient Greece had the main form of political organization in the polis, and Greek political thought is centered on the polis. No less important, however, was federalism: federal states existed alongside the poleis since the archaic age, they acquired increasing importance starting from the 4th century BC. and were protagonists of the Hellenistic age. The volume traces a synthetic profile of this particular form of state and its characteristics.
