[Autom. eng. transl.] Several families, possessing a very large capital base and very complex under the dynastic profile, have recently identified in the family office the corporate structure capable of dealing with the problems of all members of the family and the management of their huge financial assets , real estate and art. This activity is carried out in a "dedicated" manner and in a key of absolute customization, effectively overcoming some distortions inherent in the operating practices of some intermediaries active in the private banking and wealth management sector. The volume examines the characteristics of customers potentially interested in family office initiatives, introduces and develops the concept, functions and elements that characterize this organizational structure and examines the different family office models, whether they consist of one or more entrepreneurial families or those of bank or independent emanation. On the one hand, the main organizational problems and the crucial choices that the family office must make are analyzed, and on the other, the products, services and consulting interventions that make up its value proposition. The survey concludes with a study of the family office market in our country, aimed at highlighting the organizational and positioning choices made by them, and with the presentation of an emblematic case of a financial intermediary present in this particular business area.
