Abstract

Olivetti’s urban imprint emerges from the narrative pages of Giancarlo Buzzi (Como, 1929), one of the intellectuals who contributed to the creation of the “concrete community” desired by Adriano Olivetti, and – especially in the two novels L’amore mio italiano (My italian love) (1963) and L’impazienza di rigo (the impatience of rigo) (1997) – intertwines with a reflection upon utopia and its failure.
