Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Literature is something that can be taught, but its teaching starts from the assumption that it is not what it seems and that to know it it is not so much a matter of learning a knowledge, but rather the feeling to which that knowledge refers. The Spanish teachers, in continuous growth both in the secondary school and in the Italian university courses, are faced with a commitment of no small importance, considering the geographical extension of the Spanish-speaking world that is configured as a polycentric space both linguistically and culturally. In fact, if from the linguistic point of view the regional characteristics are not sufficient to corrode the linguistic unity, the plurality of its cultures represents an enormous didactic potential in the study of literature in the Spanish language but, at the same time, it poses thorny questions of theoretical type and methodological. Teaching literature in Spanish means, therefore, to keep in mind some coordinates that allow the student to approach the complexity and hybridization of cultures that it represents and creates: differentiated and contradictory literary systems; dialogue / clash between classical literature and popular literature; orality and writing, configuration of the nation-state of American countries through literature. From this point of view, the teaching of literature in the Spanish language is seen as an area from which to naturally access the plurality and heterogeneity of the voices of the other, to the multiple possibilities of giving and receiving as gifts a forma de la felicidad.
