[Autom. eng. transl.] INTRODUCTION - INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE OF THE STUDY The organizational aspects in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) reports play a fundamental role in the management of policies and strategies to implement new technologies in the health sector. The organizational domain, however, is often under-represented in HTA reporting. This study explores how organizational analysis is conducted in the construction of HTA reports and proposes a new perspective derived from an empirical approach, through comparison with the Core Model 3.0 produced by EUnetHTA. MATERIALS AND METHODS Comprehensive HTA reports were extracted from the websites of agencies belonging to the International Network of Agencies for HTA (INAHTA) and the aspects contained in them related to the organizational assessment were analyzed. The HTA reports were classified into 4 types based on the evaluated technology (device, diagnosis / screening, intervention and organizational procedures) and the organizational aspects described were explored through a framework of 5 domains and 15 subdomains derived from the Core Model. Through different Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) new domains for organizational analysis were identified in technology-specific HTA reports. RESULTS The analysis showed that the Core Model domains and subdomains are not homogeneously analyzed in the organizational analysis in the HTA reports. Through specific MCAs, 4 new dimensions related to technologies belonging to 4 new clusters have been identified (Innovation Governance, Demand Analysis, Patient / Stakeholder Engagement and Patient-centered Assistance). CONCLUSIONS This study analyzed the importance of organizational analysis in the current literature and the challenges for the improvement of this domain in HTA reporting. Through an empirical analysis on the HTA reports identified, the study proposes a new methodology that includes the most relevant aspects in organizational analysis based on new and specific domains by technology, so as to promote and support the analysis of organizational elements in the reports and respond to the need for future research in HTA.
