Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Using data from various sources, in this work we show how the generational question is particularly accentuated in Italy from different points of view. The areas considered refer, in particular, to the demographic situation, social protection policies, educational returns, the phenomenon of brain drain, labor market conditions and access to political loads. The empirical framework provided is also a starting point for future research aimed at exploring the different conditions of the young generations in different countries and in different historical phases. In conclusion, we propose a summary indicator that takes into account both the demographic imbalances and the possibility of influencing the political processes of a country.
