Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Designing one's future life is part of people's evolutionary tasks and its pursuit facilitates the transition to adulthood (Seginer, 1995). This task has recently become more complex: if until not too long ago the young people had clear tasks - finishing school, finding a job, getting married and having children - today these 'rites of passage' are no longer precise sequence of events, due to a life characterized by increasingly personalized and differentiated choices and paths. Moreover, for those who do not have important institutional referents in defining life times such as school and work - as in the case of NEETs - thinking and planning one's future is even more difficult. This is accompanied by the spread of the 'reversibility and experimentation paradigm' - or the fact that young people do not necessarily pursue a linear horizon and often return to choices already made, modifying them - which make the choices of young people precarious and linked to the moment contingent. ...
