Il Corno d'Africa Tra medicina politica e storia

[Autom. eng. transl.] This research is based on some preliminary considerations regarding the historiography on Africa in Italy, with particular reference to the Horn of Africa. On the one hand, anthropology and long-term field research have not particularly favored this geo-political area, traditionally analyzed more by history, linguistics and philology. On the other hand, openness to interdisciplinary work has not been significant in recent decades. In the wake of some works of international literature, we have tried to combine two themes of our overall work: the search for customs and the need to recover some aspects of the past in medical therapies and the reconstruction of medicine as a tool for political-identity practice .
