Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] What physical and mental "place" can the child have in a process of cultural revision and technological transformation of human reproduction? To grasp these changes we must reflect on some "words" that have entered our vocabulary. The "child" as an object of law and desire, but also as "damage" and as a "problem", as a gift and as a guest: exploring the anthropological category of child is the necessary, though not sufficient, condition to rethink our humanity and find criteria to assess the value and meaning of new parenting projects.
