Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] 1. The duties of companies in the field of human rights from the perspective of the civil judge. – 2. The intrinsic internationality of litigation on corporate accountability. – 3. The "strategic" character of actions aimed at asserting the accountability of one or more companies in court: relevance of an analysis aimed at measuring their impact, and specificity of such an analysis. – 4. The special importance of the "seat" of the dispute. – 5. The forum as a regulatory framework for the process. – 6. The forum as a framework for evaluating the plaintiff's complaint. – 7. The forum as an institutional, political and social framework for conflict resolution. – 8. Concluding remarks: social significance and practical impact of the means offered by civil justice for the protection of human rights in relation to business activity.
