Abstract
This research shows how the practice of rules contributes to child growth,
thus acknowledging the role of the sphere of game and movement as a felicitous
educational opportunity. The concept of rule is studied in its moral
aspect, also with regards to thinkers of the ancient and modern world.
Moreover, it analyses the way recognition of rules is developed by the child
during primary school, as well as how games and sports can contribute personal
growth.
