Translated title of the contribution: [Autom. eng. transl.] The concept of philosophy in Bernard Bolzano

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume offers an overall presentation of the life and thought of Bernard Bolzano, considered in the historical context of Bohemia in the Hapsburg Empire between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and in the philosophical context of idealism, which he strenuously opposed. His original conceptions about philosophy in general and logic and gnoseology, but also theology and practical philosophy in particular, are exposed, analyzed and discussed. In the appendix we offer the translation of the posthumous essay "Was ist Philosophie?".
