Abstract
The ‘Cavaliere dell’Orsa” is a short chivalric text which has only survived in 16th and 17th editions, but archival evidences show that it had already been printed by 1498. The text circulated in two different versions, probably because of the loss of a folio which was not recognized by the editors. The booklet is quoted as apocryphal by Teofilo Folengo in his “Baldus”; a new hypothesis is advanced for this odd remark.
