Abstract
The paper analyzes the events happened during the first months of 2021, concerning the trading of the US company GameStop, and focuses on the most critical profiles that emerged in this matter (how to regulate short selling, opacity of certain transactions and real economic interests gravitating around the same, incessant gamification of trading on financial markets) also evaluating the effective impact on the legal status of market manipulation
