Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The thesis advocated in this paper is that family social capital is connoted as a resource that introduces new distinctions between families, in terms of the possibility / capacity to cope with critical events and consequently the promotion of family well-being. The present paper aims to document, through a selection of empirical evidence - as they emerge from research conducted with the group of researchers at the University Center for Studies and Research on Family - how social capital turns out to be a crucial resource for the well-being of families. Consequently, it is crucial to consider how the policies / practices impact on its presence, development and valorisation within the target families.
