Abstract
In his Methodus J.Bodin does not reveal a great interest for Late Antiquity, because the Empire remained the main political anity of this period, while he is more concerned with the romano-barbarian kingdoms. However he has a great respect for two late antique historians like Procopius and Ammianus; on the contrary he dislikes Orosius. Besides the historians he often uses the HA, which leads him to see the history of the late Roman Empire from a biographical viewpoint as a KG.
