Abstract
In the last twenty years, the renewal of archaeological investigations in the sacred area of Tas-Silg in Malta, already investigated in 1963-70, has granted new data about the church and the baptistery that were erected on the remains of the sanctuary complex of prehistoric origin. The intervention focuses on the baptismal area, on the peculiarities of the opus sectile of the floor, on the font and the IV-VII century coins dropped inside, according to a ritual practice attested also elsewhere.
