Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Infectious diseases are those diseases caused by living organisms, human parasites. In particular, in the field of parasitic diseases, in which all diseases caused by living beings are understood, it is possible to distinguish: - infestations, caused by macroparasites, ie by multicellular living beings such as, for example, worms, lice, etc. ; - micro-parasitic diseases or infectious diseases, caused by living single-celled organisms, such as bacteria and fungi, or without cellular organization, such as viruses. Chronic degenerative diseases are defined as those that present a prolonged clinical course, sometimes characterized by alternating periods of remission and recurrence. These diseases are mainly represented by cardiovascular diseases, chronic bronchial pneumopathies, diabetes and malignant tumors. They are debilitating for the patient and at the same time constitute the main public health problem, as they currently represent the first factor of morbidity and mortality in the populations of the most developed countries
