Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] It could be stated that within the cultural and literary panorama of the Golden Age, the issue of honor was an obsession at that time, in particular, looking at theatrical production and the entries in the largest dictionaries. However, what is obvious is the absence of Francisco de Quevedo in studies related to the topic in question. Above all, his satirical-burlesque texts, together with moral and religious texts, leave room for a rethinking of the most debated issue of his time, giving a new and different vision. With my study, I propose to outline the development of the Madrid author's thought regarding honor, also shedding new light on the cultural and literary panorama of his time.
