Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] This contribution aims to highlight which aspects of the "educational posture" are solicited by the Pope's Message for the 58th World Communications Day. The first part recalls the social and communicative background within which the debate on AI is placed; three characteristics of this communication ecosystem are central: post-digital (or post-mediality), platformization and datafication. Recalling some characteristics of algorithmic logics and the new ways of generating knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, the perspective proposed by Pope Francis in the Message for Social Communications, interpreted from a pedagogical perspective, is compared to that defined as "algocracy" by Byung-Chul Han, which instead leaves no room for the transformative yearning of education. Pedagogical reflection and educational practices in the face of AI and algorithmic logics can be organized into three areas: educating for Artificial Intelligence, educating with Artificial Intelligence, educating Artificial Intelligence.
