Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Despite the confessional pressures to which the Orthodox Church was subjected in Transylvania in the sixteenth century by the Protestant powers, it is clear in this ecclesial body the awareness of being the bearer of a precise doctrinal identity, rooted in participation in a vast communion of Churches, whose vertices were represented by the four ancient patriarchal headquarters
