Abstract
Cover crops produce organic matter useful to enhance soil fertility and functionality and to contribute to the recovery and recycling of nutrients. Specifically, the mustard and phacelia-based cover crops presented the lowest costs, generated the greatest increase in yields and the highest level of carbon sequestration.
