Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The work sector of the Regional Observatory for Integration and Multienicity, based on official statistical sources and analyzing the survey data, also this year provided a picture of the employment of migrants in the Lombardy context, highlighting the main trends and also contradictions in the job placement process. In this regard, a process of enlargement of the immigrant labor force is a sign of recovery, which is at least with reference to the territories of the North-West of the country. It is in fact highlighted that, in the face of a fall in employment rates, the foreign population has seen its stock of employed individuals continue to grow over time, alongside an even more significant expansion of individuals in search of employment. The analysis of administrative data related to goodwill and the termination of subordinate employment relationships has also highlighted some signs of overcoming the difficult phases linked to the economic crisis that, for several years now, have characterized the context Lombard employment. Alongside these first signs of recovery, there was an increase in irregular employment, a phenomenon that had suffered an abrupt halt in recent years precisely due to the crisis itself. The work sector, this year, has also dealt with - on the basis of the survey data - the theme of the health behaviors of immigrants, identifying which factors, for example the regularity of employment, the type of employment, the income, influence the behavior of migrants in terms of health.
