Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This report presents an in-depth analysis on the issue of Lombardy's PDO and PGI food products; it is in continuity with what has already been presented in chapter 17 of the volume The agro-food system of Lombardy - Report 2017 and with the report The PDO and PGI food products of Lombardy in 2016, published online in January 2018 (ISBN 4791220029087). This work allows you to follow the evolution of the certified quality production sector over the five-year period 2014-2018. In particular, the analysis aims to reconstruct the economic-structural characteristics and recent dynamics concerning the supply chains of PDO and PGI food products - therefore it does not include the wine category - and is based on the annual data provided by the Certification Bodies (CB ) for the three-year period from 2016 to 2018, supplemented where necessary with information from other sources. Compared to the existing literature on PDO and PGI products, this analysis is characterized not only by its focus on the Lombardy regional system, but also by its approach aimed at highlighting the relationships between the various stages of agricultural production, processing and any seasoning. , in order to highlight the supply chain logics that emerge but also, possibly, the "bottlenecks" that constitute a limitation.
