[Autom. eng. transl.] In this article the relationships between Italian populism and religion are considered. First, after a reconstruction of the concept of "populism", a map of the main Italian populisms is proposed, which mainly includes Forza Italia, Lega Nord and Movimento 5 stelle. Secondly, the 'religious strategy' of these parties is examined, with the aim of clarifying whether religion plays a role in their political action and in their communication activity, and whether Italian populisms can be considered as the expression of a cultural backlash.
