[Autom. eng. transl.] Interreligious dialogue is among the first objectives to be cultivated in multi-ethnic and multi-religious social realities, with the contribution of both institutions and civil society. The volume was born from a multi-year activity of 'bottom-up' production of artistic and cultural events in public spaces with the aim of developing meetings between people of different convictions and religious faiths through the various languages ​​of art. On the initiative of the Dòsti Festival Association of Religious Arts and Cultures of Brescia, and with the support of the Islamic Cultural Center of Brescia, this collection of poems in Arabic aims to raise awareness of the poetic form as a language capable of expressing universal feelings linked to the life cycle. death-rebirth. Especially during the recent pandemic, people of different ethnic and/or religious backgrounds found themselves asking the same questions about the fate of individuals and of all humanity. The 17 poems that make up this selection, presented in the double Arabic and Italian version, facilitate the understanding of the richness constituted by the Arabic-speaking heritage, today increasingly present in the Italian linguistic and social panorama. The selected poets and poets come from different regions and religious traditions, thus showing the 'dialogical' function that the Arabic language has taken on over the centuries and the transversality of poetry that narrates the mysteries of humanity by overcoming cultural and generational barriers. The lyrics are divided into three sections: the torments of the heart; patience, wisdom and hope; death and beyond.
