Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] On the basis, above all, of the Chronicle of Salimbene from Parma, the contribution examines the different phases, starting with the Alleluia movement of 1233, which led to the establishment of the Friars Minor and Preachers within Reggio Emilia. The developments of religiousness and devotions promoted by the friars in the city are then examined, which helped to make their churches and convents, despite conflicting and sometimes hostile positions, a point of reference for the political and religious life of the city in second half of the 13th century.
