Abstract

The sagggio presents, with a highly popular scientific approach, the commitment of the monastery of San Benedetto di Leno, known as "ad Leones", for the reclamation of the surrounding area from a pastoral, economic, social and productive point of view; a cross-section of significant interest emerges about the role of the abbey in the Middle Ages in the political-religious transformations of the Po Valley.
