Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] There are some cases related to the relationship between the Franciscans and ancient books to verify whether, in addition to a long-defined type of Franciscan manuscript, there may also be a category of Franciscan printed works. The complex relationship between Francesco d'Assisi and his friars with the book is therefore considered in a new and different perspective, in a decisive historical and cultural passage such as that between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
