I festival del cinema in Italia. Forme e pratiche dalle origini al Covid-19

[Autom. eng. transl.] The volume offers an updated study on Italian film festivals, photographed in the phase of change triggered by the Covid-19 epidemic. The research offers a complex perspective, which takes into account the breadth and variety of the festival circuit, making the historical-economic and comparative analyzes dialogue with the data obtained from a corpus of interviews with professionals representing as many Italian events. Film festivals are examined as cultural and at the same time entrepreneurial objects, considering their origin and evolution, recurring and peculiar elements, managerial strategies and multiple effects on the territory, sustainability in economic terms and possible forms of evaluation. Particular attention is paid to the situation created following the measures to combat Covid-19, which have strongly penalized the sector, redesigning some aspects and producing effects that will certainly affect its future identity.
