The study is the product of further research into the Milanese periodicals, both literature reviews and non-specialized magazines, in order to consider every aspect of the debate about Manzoni. The wealth of information has resulted in the novelty of some aspects, merely recording the famous outcomes of the debate provoked each time by the publication of new works while focussing on unknown, celebrated aspects such as any reference to Manzoni's works in debates over dif ferent gen res, narrative (the historical novel) as well as poetical (religious poetry). The presence of Manzoni in the cultural section of the periodicals has been analysed considering the translations of articles in foreign publications along with everything produced in different fields (paintings, operas, plays, to narre but few) inspired by Manzoni's production. Finally it has been possible to find journals which published some of his texts, thus enabling a process of correction of the editions in print.
