Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] A new interpretation, 150 years after the death of Baudelaire: his passion for theater, witnessed by numerous poetic and critical texts, collected for the first time in a single volume. A refined connoisseur of dramaturgical production and a keen visitor to the Parisian halls, Baudelaire did not complete his theatrical projects, documented here. But the imprint of the scene was so strong that it was omnipresent in his writings. Not for nothing he chose the fool and the saltimbanco as emblems of the modern artist.
