Abstract

All the procedures to screen patients and healthcare staff are needed to prevent COVID 19 nosocomial outbreaks and are based on the swab test (RT-PCR test). However, literature shows that a negative swab test does not rule out a Covid-19 infection. In this commentary we propose a more comprehensive strategy.
