Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] It may seem unusual to talk about an essay on epidemiology starting from considerations of philosophy of law. But in the case of “War or health. From scientific evidence to the promotion of peace” (Il PensieroScientifico Editore, Rome 2023), by Pirous Fateh-Moghadam, the choice has more than one reason. For a long time and through numerous writings, Fateh-Moghadam has been dealing with how war in itself is, and has become with exponential growth, an area of fundamental epidemiological interest and one of the most decisive factors for global individual and public health. The relevance of the philosophy of law, or more precisely of the connection between epidemiology and law and policy profiles, is also suggested by the title of the essay, which connects scientific evidence and peace proposals.
