Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution analyzes the representative methods with which Italian independent video games, in the last decade, have been disseminating local and micro-community testimonies, especially linked to a specific past, more or less proximate. Many of these video games deviate from the most well-known narratives. The article intends to bring to light and analyze these growing trends, also starting from a comparison with the more or less conscious choices of the development teams. The article, after a concise introduction on the Italian videogame landscape and the presentation of the methodology adopted, presents and discusses the choices of the various teams, starting with a series of semi-structured interviews with the members of the aforementioned teams. Finally, the article closes by reflecting on how certain game design choices, especially related to the point of view, are functional or not for the proposed representation.
