Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay examines some passages of the Goethean work in which the theme of the transmigration of souls emerges, and a series of Greek and Latin texts well known to Goethe and relevant to the subject dealt with. Among the latter are some Orphic and Pythagorean writings, as well as works by Plato, Plutarch, Porfirio, Plotino and Apuleio.
