Abstract
Franca Ageno was a prominent Italian philologist and historian of language. She worked for a long time on Dante's Convivio and finally provided a critical edition of the text, which is still unsurpassed. She also wrote many relevant essays about specific issues connected to the exegesis of Commedia.
