[Autom. eng. transl.] In this chapter we examine the foreign exchanges of agri-food products of Emilia-Romagna and Italy. The data used are from Istat, in the SH6 classification (six-digit codes), available since 1995 at regional level and since 2010 on a provincial basis, in quantities and values at current prices, on a quarterly basis; in addition, starting from 2013, on a provincial basis, in quantity and in value, the exchange flows always from Istat are also available, in the NC8 classification (8-digit codes). The following topics are dealt with, as is now customary, the contribution of Emilia-Romagna to the country's exchanges (§ 8.1), the structure of regional exchanges for the main commodities (§ 8.2), the main partner countries of the region for imports and exports (§8.3) and the contribution of individual provinces to foreign trade in the region (§8.4).
