[Autom. eng. transl.] In this chapter the foreign trade in agri-food products of Lombardy and Italy is examined. The data used is from Istat, in the SH6 classification (6-digit codes), available since 1995 at the regional level and from 2010 at the provincial level, in quantities and values at current prices, on a quarterly basis. The topics discussed below concern the contribution of Lombardy to national exchanges (§ 7.1), the structure of regional exchanges for the main commodities (§ 7.2), imports and exports with the major partner countries (§ 7.3), the contribution of the individual provinces to the foreign exchanges of the region (§ 7.4), as well as, having Istat data in the NC8 classification (8-digit codes) on a provincial basis for the last 3 years, some brief focuses on the contribution of Lombardy to the national export of “ made in Italy "(§7.5), on the effects of the Russian embargo (§ 7.6), on foreign trade in palm oil (§ 7.7) and on BREXIT (§ 7.8).
