[Autom. eng. transl.] The chapter examines the institution of protection orders against family abuse, now regulated by Articles 473-bis.69 - 473-bis.71 of the Italian Code of Civil Procedure. In particular, it examines the subjective scope of family abuse, the notion of family abuse, the content and duration of the protection order, the assignment of the property where the family home is located to the victim, maintenance payments to be paid by the perpetrator of the abuse, custody of the offspring following a parent's removal order and coordination with Articles 330-333 of the Italian Code of Civil Procedure, dedicating notes to the procedural and European Union law aspects.
