Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] Inni Sacri is a new title in Italian opera production. The unauthorized editions following the two Manzonian editions of 1815 and 1822 present numerous variations and some errors, which were only remedied with the ne varietur edition of 1855. In 1829 a furious controversy arose around the Sacred Hymns, which probably prompted Manozni to resume the innographic project is in hand, also thanks to the stimulus provided by the publication of three sacred hymns by his friend Giuseppe Borghi: the result of which can be identified in the then aborted Ognissanti, finally resumed in 1847.
