Fabius Pictor is part of the part of the traditional theory of Hellenistic historiography, developing his work as a guide to contemporary events (the victorious war against Carthage and the Gauls in 225 BC) reflected in the reconstruction of the kind of "foundation", confirming that which would have been the role of Rome
