Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay offers some elements of scenario on the students of the IVET system, reconstructing, on the basis of secondary data and a review of the main surveys, the characteristics of the demand and the training offer in this segment within the Italian and Lombard context. A framework of difficulties and disadvantages is thus outlined, on the one hand, potential and chance, on the other, for foreign students included in vocational training courses, who are urged to become more and more a "different opportunity", not inferior but equivalent to that offered by the education system, in terms of quality of teaching, of contents and skills transmitted, of perspectives offered, but which actually already perform - thanks to the approach, to the professional figures involved, to the methodologies that characterize them - a crucial function in the process of training, professional and social integration of the new generations.
