[Autom. eng. transl.] Statistics on dairy farming in our country show a certain phase of stability in recent years. Both in 2019, as well as in 2020, there was a certain slowdown in the closures of the number of stables, instead so numerous in previous years, and a certain recovery in the number of cows destined for milk production. On the basis of still provisional data, the quantity of milk produced of all species, for its part, seems to have slowed down the upward phase that characterized the five-year period 2013-2018, even showing signs of contraction in the central-southern areas of the country. The different statistical sources used seem to share the general trends, even if each highlights and deepens different aspects of the structure of Italian dairy farming and tries to anticipate what will be captured by the 7th General Census of Agriculture, in progress at the time of writing. of this report.
