Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution sets out the reasons why an efficient model of justice, even for the purpose of general prevention of crimes, cannot fail to incorporate openness to recovery and the possibility of reconciliation. Therefore, it is not a case of theorising a mercy that goes "beyond" justice, but of ensuring that justice "re-encompasses" the reparative dimension, taking the form of a "project" that is significant for the author of an offensive conduct , as for his relationship with the victim and with society. In this perspective, and with reference to the "jubilee of mercy", it is evident that a non-superficial theological reflection on divine justice, of which Christianity sees the fulfillment in the death and resurrection of Christ, can offer a significant cultural contribution to the contemporary debate about the models of justice.
