Abstract
G. Toniolo’s scientific thought about the propulsive role of the modern entrepreneur, within a new overall interpretation in ethical terms of the industrial capitalism, marked a deep discontinuity in the Catholic culture between the end of the XIX century and the beginning of the XX.
