Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The analysis of the typographic and editorial career of Giovanni Battista Bidelli reveals that, through his constant activity throughout the first half of the seventeenth century, the Milanese printer favored the circulation of top pieces of Spanish literature from the Golden Age in the Milanesado. This article will assess the data provided by the examination of the editorial production in Spanish by Bidelli not only to understand the role that the typographer had in the environment of the printing press of the State of Milan, but also to understand the configuration of the cultural and literary universe of one of the most important Italian territories of the Spanish Crown of the time.
