Abstract

The book, in two volumes, gathers the works that Gianni Bertini, one of the most importan Itlaian artist of the second part of Twentieth Century, created during his life from 1940 to 2009, when he died. More than 2.000 works represent the different moment of his activity, starting with the first paintings in Pisa, following with his abstract works concerning the relationships with Italian groups of postwar and the ones realized during his first season in Paris, in the area of international Informel, then with the paintings composed in the technique of Mec-Art (mechanical painting), with which he became well-known from the Sixties on.
