Abstract

The process of women's emancipation, the application of gender equality, the entrance of women into the labor market, changes in the pair bonds, birth control: this set of phenomena (and others) has encouraged the emergence of new meanings, relating to the figures of father and mother and their level of responsibility towards children. The reflection on the subject can afford to detect, even for the social system, new tasks to promote the exercise of parental educational functions, supporting the joint responsibility of the couple.
